The $1,000 VHS record and purple suits from Devolver's E3 show were actually for sale and they already sold-out out
Devolver's E3 press conferences are weird and this year was no exception. The whole matter was dressed raised equally Devolver Digital Max Pass, a kind of service that you could subscribe to ready to be sold more subscriptions and services. IT was altogether a joke, of course, but extraordinary bits from the show off were actually something you can buy in real world: a bright purple, Devolver branded dress courting and a "non-fuckwithable" VHS tape.
Following the register, the Devolver merch stock was updated with listings for the VHS tape ($1000) and two of the dress suits ($500 each). These were both sold in extremely limited quantities: one VHS and two do suits.
The proceeds from the tapeline went to Scratch Foundation, "a free, online cryptography community where kids around the world can create their own interactive stories, games, and animations." The suit money went to Glass Embellishment, to support "flair fancywork artist friends."
I was writing this article to tell you about them just in case you were in the market for expensive memorabilia you absolutely fare not need, but by the prison term I wrote the first sentence both were sold out. Still, it's bad funny that Devolver went to the problem of actually selling these—and that someone bought them.
